Free Trees - Sign Up Open Now

City of Phoenix is rolling out a new program we can take advantage of to make our neighborhood just a bit more comfortable. It is called Heat Ready Phoenix. This program is looking to expand the shade cover of our neighborhoods and sidewalks by offering two free trees for the front yard to neighbors who sign up. Neighbors will get to select from a list of 18 low water/drought tolerant trees, planted by landscape professionals, and maintenance supplies, plus a t-shirt. Plantings happen all in a single day in the spring and fall and through this program we are planning a ‘neighborhood planting’ for October.  Sign up by emailing azstills@gmail.com , filling out the sign up sheet in the next neighborhood meeting, or texting 602-373-3907.
